How the Conversation Started …
Yes, this is a family dinner conversation as we wondered about the many bookings we made while preparing to spend 100 days in and around Europe.
“I think it just eliminates the need for toilet paper.”
“Is there a fan?”
“No, that’s what underwear is for – to dry you off.”
Ok, this is my family. An 11 year old and twins who are 15. And my husband. And our dog, Lego, who rarely interjects into these conversations (and is often my favorite family member).
“They must know something we don’t know. I mean, it’s a whole separate set-up taking up bathroom real estate”
Obviously, this will be lesson number 1 on a long list of lessons we will learn about European culture, history, style, and practicality. A couple of notes about us: we are from Colorado (USA); we are leaving our Goldendoodle, Lego, in the wonderful care of friends and family; and we believe the world will teach us more in 100 days than we have learned over our whole lifetimes (cumulatively about 70,000 days).
Family Motto (more or less): Don’t take yourself so seriously!

We are the “A” Family!
