Long time reader, first time poster here – its Eric!

I’ve got a front row seat to learning!  The bigs are both in chemistry right now.  I’m getting a first hand reminder of what its like to learn something completely new from the ground up.  What’s the difference between the S and P orbitals?  Which thing is the one that is always in motion?  Its encouraging to see them work together and try and figure out different concepts.  Paper and pencil are still ruling with the Arnoldy crew despite having ridiculous amounts of technology at their disposal. I’m impressed at the notes taken – each in their own style – colorful rainbow, perfect font, and sparse outside the lines – I’ll let you line up which goes with whom.  I can tell when they are actually learning too, they want to talk about it (Noah’s fascinated with electromagnetic principles), and they get quite and locked in.  Beautiful moments.

I may have hit my limit on carbs, every breakfast lunch and dinner seems to default to carb-heavy meals.  Croissant with a side of bread, pasta lunch, pizza dinner … or some days switch it up and do pizza for lunch!  It’s all very delicious, but I’m ready for something new – even the place called Brisket in Milan was heavy on the carbs.

Where does the time go?  Turns out all this time that I thought I would have is used up on planning next things – though Annie has done 98% of that work, on helping with school, resting, or literally traveling.  The cadence of walking around through a piazza, find some food, watching the people quickly fills a day’s time.

Go Bronco’s !
